Record Wonderland

Record Wonderland sells, buys and trades vinyl records and other audio wonders. We stock rock, jazz, soul, hip-hop, pop, classical, spoken, dance, world, soundtrack, odd and more - all in great condition at reasonable prices. We are located in Roselle, IL at 737 E. Nerge Road, by Plum Grove Road. Hours are from Noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The store is closed Sunday.

Record Wonderland is always buying good quality LPs! Bring them during regular store hours, or give a call if you have questions - 847-306-1290. We will travel for large collections! What do we buy? We tell everyone that we buy what we think we can sell. Right now, that means rock, jazz, blues, soul and hip hop, along with high-quality classical and audiophile LPs. We try to keep a diverse inventory, so we will consider other genres too, if they are in nice condition. We are mostly focused on vinyl LPs at the moment, but we will consider 12-inch singles, 7-inch 45s, as well as reel to reel tapes if the genre and condition is right for us. What do we avoid buying? Anything damaged or in unusable condition. Most 78 rpm records. Most big band jazz and easy listening. We will look at CDs and cassettes, but we are very selective about our purchases in those formats. How much do we pay? It varies by piece, but we make competitive offers on items we can use.

We will be opening early on Record Store Day 2025 (Saturday, April 12) at 8 a.m. and we will have several Record Store Day exclusives. There will be a line. We will hand out numbers at about 6 a.m. Whoever is in line at that time will be given a number which represents their place in line. Each individual in line must get their own number. Once you have a number, you can take a break from the line until about 7:45 a.m. We will continue to hand out numbers until about 7:45, when we will ask everyone to line up in order of the number they have. If you arrive after 8 am, just get in line. We try to keep things orderly - the person with number 1 will look through the first row of boxes. When they move to the second row of boxes, then number 2 can look at the first row of boxes and so on. You can pick as many titles as you would like, but only one copy of each title. As always, we cannot hold or reserve any RSD exclusives before or on the day of the event. The store will close at the regular time - 6 p.m. We will have limited amounts of RSD posters and other goodies free with purchase while supplies last. In addition, we will be having a sale on all used media! All used records, CDs and cassettes will all be 20 percent off April 12. Sorry, but there will be no discounts on new media during the used media sale. We don't yet know exactly what RSD exclusives will be available, but a day or 2 before the event, check here. We will post a list of all RSD exclusives we received along with the number of copies we have of each.
