- All photos by Glen E Friedman, who has done album covers for the Beastie Boys, Ice T, Public Enemy, LL Cool J and more - Detailed liner notes from the band - Pressed on limited edition blue vinyl - Mixed by Grammy winning engineer Geoff Sanoff - Guy Picciotto from Fuguzi traveled with the band from DC for the show and had this to say... "The Faith were one of the best live bands DC ever produced. Having been there, I can confidently say that their show with the Bad Brains at CBGB’s on 12/26/81 was the best concert happening anywhere on the Planet Earth that night. Nothing else could have come close."
Although Brad Mehldau is best known as a jazz composer and improviser, he has made several albums that fall outside of the mainstream jazz genre, including his 2001 Largo, produced byJon Brion. In 2010, Nonesuch released his second collaboration with Brion, Highway Rider, which includes performances by Mehldau’s trio—drummer Jeff Ballard and bassist Larry Grenadier—as well as drummer Matt Chamberlain, saxophonist Joshua Redman, and a chamber orchestra led by Dan Coleman. Mehldau also orchestrated and arranged the album’s fifteen pieces for the ensemble. Mehldau’s 2014 collaboration with Mark Guiliana,Mehliana: Taming the Dragon was praised by All About Jazz as “another superlative effort in the career of a pianist who has been consistent in his commitment to excellence and genre-defying creativity—and one that shines a major spotlight on the stylistically unbound and similarly forward-thinking Guiliana.” Mehliana featured Mehldau on Fender Rhodes and synthesizers and Guiliana on drums and effects, playing twelve original tunes—six by the duo and six by Mehldau. The 2004 solo disc Live in Tokyo was Mehldau’s label debut. He has released seven albums with his trio: House on Hill, Day Is Done, Brad Mehldau Trio Live, Ode, Where Do You Start, Blues and Ballads, and last year’s Grammy–nominated Seymour Reads the Constitution! Also released last year was the solo album After Bach, which comprises the pianist/composer’s recordings of four preludes and one fugue from J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, each followed by an “After Bach” piece written by Mehldau and inspired by its WTC mate. Mehldau’s additional collaborative records on the label include Love Sublime, Metheny Mehldau, Metheny Mehldau Quartet, Modern Music, Nearness with Joshua Redman, and Chris Thile & Brad Mehldau. His solo records also include Live in Marciac and the eight-LP/four-CD 10 Years Solo Live, which the New York Times says “contains some of the most impressive pianism he has captured on record.”
The trolls are back – angrier, hungrier and meaner than ever! “Vredesvävd” (2020) is Finntroll’s seventh full-length, the first in seven years. The title translates to “Wrath-woven”, which aptly implies what the vigorous, unapologetic and ill-spirited record is all about. Recorded and mixed at the renowned Sonic Pump Studios, mastered at Chartmakers and produced by keyboardist-composer Henri “Trollhorn” Sorvali with vocalist Mathias “Vreth” Lillmåns acting as his right hand,
“Vredesvävd” presents the pointy-eared gang of misfits at their finest. “Vredesvävd” combines the most essential elements of the band’s past with a bag of fresh seasonings. It is innovative, captivating, varied and true to Finntroll’s roots – something that no other band could come up with.

Double green and black vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. 2020 release, Yung Lean's seventh full-length following 2018's Poison Ivy. Starz includes previously released singles "Boylife in EU," "Violence," and "Pikachu." Much like Lean's overall catalog, the album feels almost impossibly cohesive. In part, that's thanks to production entirely from longtime collaborator whitearmor - they kept the sessions intimate and secluded, recording partly in an old ballet hall in the Swedish countryside. But this is an album only Lean could make, as a young veteran, with a sound and career that's well-entrenched globally but still doggedly, even perplexingly, on it's own planet.
